My cake and eat it too
Just thought you should know... I love this cake. Luckily my hubby does too so we had an excuse to make it a few weeks ago for his birthday. Yum!
On my birthday back in March, my best friend (who never, ever bakes!) made me one of these and that just made me love it even more. {You are the BEST Abby!}
We are on the fence about the icing...chocolate or vanilla? We decided to try a little both.

Yummmm!! And it's such a PRETTY cake! :) LOL Especially without the frosting. My favorite cake is one that my grandma used to make...peanut butter, homemade icing. Delish. :) And I'm not a huge fan of chocolate icing, so I'd have to go with vanilla.

Looks yummy! We are practicing the art of cake making right now.... My husband is trying to make the perfect vanilla cake for our daughter's birthday next week... Who knew it was so hard to make the perfect cake?! Yours looks fabulous!:)
The pattern on that is lovely! Was that intentional, or did it happen that way? And I love that you used both frostings anyways - but it probably tastes even better that way! :D

I am actually not a fan of cake, but this does look delicious. I like cheesecake for my birthday, and I am a fan of carrot cake or banana bread :)

Nom nom nom nom! My favorite cake?! I'm not that big of a cake person ice cream is more my style but if I had to chose I'd say Chocolate fudge cake (box mix with pudding and sour cream added) and homemade cream cheese icing. But the cake needs to be kept cold cause that make it taste sooo much better!

My son's favorite cake is this marble cake. But I can never decide between choc or vanilla icing. Brilliant idea to do 1/2 and 1/2! I'll definitely do that next time. Hmm ... might just have to be this weekend! My son thanks you!
